The Pharmacy division of responds to requests from the national and transnational pharmaceutical industry, in particular those that handle the marketing of bio-pharmaceuticals (for example: cytokines, hormones, and monoclonal antibodies) and blood products (example: hormone albumin, human immunoglobulin, coagulation factors, etc.). It also runs the analysis of other drugs included in the FEUM, USP and Ph. Eur.

All analytical activities of this division are ruled by the local auxiliary analytical control laboratory for sanitary regulation and tertiary laboratory regulation, so that the results generated are considered reference to the release of lots for marketing.

In order to achieve the described activities above, the division has the necessary infrastructure and staff, which include experimental animals, special areas for the management of cell culture and viral spread, room for sterility test class 10000 and an instrumentation area equipped with electrophoretic rooms, liquid chromatography, spectrometer-atomic emission absorption, spectrophotometer, capillary electrophoresis, and so on.
